Following a Bachelor’s degree in Design from the University of Strasbourg in 2014, Matthieu Ruiz began his career as a Visual Merchandising Manager for the Printemps Group, a role that would sharpen his aesthetic vision. Building on this experience, he launched his eponymous brand in 2023, centered on his expertise in botanical dyeing, a cornerstone of his creative language. This specialization initially led to a series of capsule collaborations with brands such as Lacoste, C.P. Company, and LVMH Métiers d’Art. Inspired by childhood memories and an imagination shaped by rural life and a sense of «soft brutality». Natural dyeing, at the heart of the project, serves as a profound storytelling tool where every shade recounts a gesture, a place, or a memory. In his work, imperfection is embraced as both an aesthetic and ethical value.
