KAKAN pursues clothing as “sculpture in motion,” placing great importance on the intimate relationship between handcraft and the body. Drawing inspiration from nature, ecosystems, and people’s emotional narratives, the brand creates garments that allow the wearer to quietly face themselves. Knitwear forms the core of each collection. In its signature 〈HAND SPUN〉series, KAKAN carries out the entire process in-house, from spinning raw wool into yarn to knitting the final garment. Another defining characteristic of KAKAN’s clothing is its "lightness." Even hand-knitted long coats weigh approximately less than 1kg, achieving a remarkably light and effortless feel despite the depth of craftsmanship.
