Rémy Guerra graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, where he studied video and installation while teaching himself sewing.
In 2024, he founded GARDOUCH, a framework within which he transforms his personal archives into silhouettes and questions what the past becomes once worn.
Originally from Gardouch, a village in the south-west of France that gives his brand its name, Rémy Guerra develops a body of work rooted in a central idea: memory disappears if we stop holding on to it. Each collection is built like a chapter drawn from reinterpreted micro- archives, creating a wardrobe designed for bodies.
Through Gardouch, Rémy Guerra works with fragments before they vanish, giving form to what remains, to what resurfaces, and to what memory produces as it moves through bodies.
