Mukcyen is a coined word derived from the Chinese pronunciation of the designer’s surname, mucun. Intentionally abstract and devoid of fixed meaning, it carries a quiet conviction: to imbue the name with singular significance through the creation of a personal history and culture. The brand turns its gaze toward the complexity of human nature and the fluidity of time— toward a longing for death that paradoxically arises from a deep belief in the force of life.
