gim, a Harajuku-based knitwear manufacturer established in 1965, has launcheda new brand, gim context, with knitwear designer Ryohei Kawanishi, a graduateof St. Martin's School of Art in London. The brand heavily utilizes gim'smanufacturing knowledge and relationships with local producers, which theyhave cultivated over the past 50 years. Reinforced by these 5 decades ofexperience in the knitting industry, the brand will experiment and explore newpossibilities of knitwear.
