Sulvam was founded by Teppei Fujita in 2014. A graduate of the Bunka Fashion College, backed by a lengthy collaboration with the Yohji Yamamoto Maison Teppei rapidly earned the acclaim of international members of the trade winning.
With an emphasis on alluring masculinity while harnessing the pattern making skills acquired under Yohji Yamamoto, Teppei’s style of tailoring reinterprets in a strongly contemporary key and places the focus on extremely high-quality fabrics and innovative silhouettes.
Sulvam is crafted to reflect the times much like an improv jam session in music. The designer himself designs and creates each item in the collection, starting with pattern making; it's a design process where fabrics, patterns and cuts are given the highest priority.
